[Transportation information from Fukuoka Airport to Kumamoto Station]

For those who will arrive at Fukuoka Airport, we recommend you to take a Shinkansen from JR Hakata Station to Kumamoto Station.

1. Fukuoka Airport to JR Hakata station (博多駅)

An easy way from the airport to JR Hakata Station is to take a taxi. It takes about 10 minutes to the station.
The other way to the station is to take a subway. When you arrive at the airport, you must transfer from International terminal to Domestic terminal 2 by free shuttle bus, and go down to subway station. The fare for JR Hakata station is 250 Yen. It takes about 15 minutes for shuttle bus and 5 minutes for the subway.

2. JR Hakata Station to JR Kumamoto Station (熊本駅).

It takes about 30-40 minutes and costs 4480 Yen for a non-reserved seat or around 5000 Yen for a reserved seat.
